ADULT MINISTRIES
Bible Study is an important ministry for the adults and children of our church. Well-qualified teachers prepare lessons weekly to help us learn what the scripture says and how it applies to circumstances of our lives. Our main time of Bible study for adults and children is during Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. each week. Pastor White also teaches an adult class on Wednesday evenings. Discipleship classes are also held on Sunday evenings in 10-week sessions. Click here for more information on the Sunday evening classes.
Bound4Life Greenville is a prayer and mobilization ministry made up of intercessors who stand with LIFE tape on their mouths at local courthouses and the abortion clinic. You will notice that our young people wear red LIFE bands. These wristbands serve as a reminder of our covenant to pray for the ending of abortion and to vote only for pro-life candidates. By wearing this band, we are making a covenant with God by praying a 22-word prayer every time we see the red mark on our wrist. “Jesus, I plead your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God, end abortion and send revival to America.” We believe that God will end this culture of death through prayer and fasting.
Cleansing Stream will begin again in the fall. This 12-week seminar prepares participants to receive healing and deliverance at the regional retreat which will be held in November. It combines practical application of Biblical truths and disciplines with supportive relationships. If you are dealing with issues such as rejection, abuse, addiction, bitterness, purity, or shame you would benefit from these lessons. Registration is open for the sessions which begin August 10.

Divorce Care meets each week for a time of teaching and encouragement for those who have gone through marital separation. This ministry uses a video curriculum that allows new members to join at any point in the course. The classes give a biblical perspective of marriage and helps the members respond righteously to the results of broken relationships. Click here for information regarding Divorce Care for Kids.

Men's Fellowship - The men of Christian Assembly enjoy time together and have several activities throughout the year when we invite our friends to join us. These have included paintball tournaments, cookouts, games and workdays. Our teen boys are often included in our activities.
The Single Adults of our church are very active. Regular events are scheduled and we often participate in community activities. Our single (or single again) men and women assist and encourage one another through friendship and accountability.
Titus 2 is the name of our women's ministry. This is based on the scriptural mandate in Titus 2:3,4 for older Christian women to teach younger women. Our pastor's wife supports this ministry which is led by Carol Griffin. They encourage all women to participate. The meetings are usually held on Tuesday evenings every other month. A retreat is scheduled for this spring. Check the calendar for updates on the next meeting.
Worship is a primary function of our church, along with discipleship and evangelism, and it is incorporated into most all of our other ministries. Our corporate worship services usually are lively and loud and include singing, clapping, dancing, lifting hands, shouting, giving offerings, praying, prophecies, scripture reading, testimonies, sermons and ministry times. Our worship times are not just on Sundays, but also Wednesdays and Thursdays. We encourage a lifestyle of worship.
